Max graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2025 with his thesis “Transforming industrial food waste for a carbon zero future”. From there he has partnered with James Jackson to establish Springline, a South Island–based environmental consultancy providing practical solutions for land and development projects. They specialise in contaminated land, soil and waste management, and environmental compliance, helping project teams make clear, informed decisions from planning through to construction.
